- Ensures accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities
- Prepares thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations, and sketches with some guidance
- Strives to continually improve job-related, technical, and professional knowledge, skills and performance
- Develops positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities
- Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills
- Conducts engineering and related studies
- Maintains accurate records and files
- Supports the company's goals and represents the company positively and professionally.
- Responsible for creating preliminary and final design layouts and estimates for electrical infrastructure serving single family, multi-family residential developments and commercial projects
- Provides designs that adhere to relevant safety, environmental, and engineering guidelines
- Coordinates with field engineering, customer liaisons, system planning, GIS lighting, and construction departments to ensure that projects are cost effective and completed on time
- Supports positive customer experiences through timely completion of design request
- Utilizes integrated assets automation portfolio including design tools, work management systems, and GIS applications
- Maintains accurate records and files.
- Promotes system reliability through design philosophy
- Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills
- Participates in other assigned duties during emergency or storm events
- Develops positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities
- Supports the company’s goals and represents the company positively and professionally.
- Strives to continually improve job-related, technical, engineering and professional knowledge, skills and performance
- Makes electrical load and voltage drop calculations for single and multiphase applications based on customer input and project needs
- Provides engineering/technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis, and resolution of well-defined problems in area of expertise
- Experience in the utility industry
- Understanding of basic principles of project management
- Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Corporate office with limited project site visits
- Either 6+ years of relevant industry experience coupled with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology (or equivalent), OR 8+ years of experience and Associate Degree in Engineering Technology (or equivalent), OR 12+ years equivalent experience without a degree.
