Senior IT Data Analyst
Position Overview:
The Senior IT Data Analyst will play a key role in supporting the Enterprise Data Organization’s (EDO) business strategy, particularly in relation to the successful implementation and integration of Oracle Cloud ERP and associated systems. This position will focus on driving data transformation, aligning key data domains across various business functions, and ensuring data governance across global operations. The Senior IT Data Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams, strategic partners, and the Data Governance ERP Cloud Manager to ensure that data strategies support business transformation objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the business transformation program, particularly the rollout of Oracle Cloud ERP and complementary systems, by aligning data management with the enterprise strategy.
- Collaborate with Business, Digital Technology (DT), and strategic partners during global design phases to identify critical software data requirements and ensure proper data planning for successful implementation.
- Lead the alignment of key data elements across product, raw material, supplier, customer, and site domains to ensure synchronization with Finance Transformation data needs, particularly in the Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Post Merger Integration (PMI) tracks.
- Work closely with Global Business Process Owners (GBPOs) and process leads to ensure data decisions are aligned with global, regional, and local process decisions.
- Provide strategic guidance and prioritization for data management efforts to ensure smooth implementation of Oracle Cloud ERP and related systems.
- Develop and implement a framework for accelerating the integration of data from future mergers and acquisitions (M&As), while improving the quality of Sherwin Williams’ key data elements.
- Guide the DT data platform team to ensure that the design of data lakes and platforms meets business transformation analytical requirements, while ensuring synchronization with data governance and management processes.
- Establish standards for the handling of historical data and decommissioning of legacy systems, aligned with the enterprise data retention policy.
- Collaborate with Security, Regulatory, and Legal teams to ensure compliance with global data privacy regulations during the implementation of Oracle ERP Cloud and bolt-on systems.
- This position is not eligible for work sponsorship now or in the future, including H1-B visa conversions.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field, or at least 12 years of relevant experience in business or IT (combination of education and work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
- 5+ years of experience in IT or business roles, with at least 3 years of experience leading large-scale implementations of business systems.
- Extensive experience driving data transformation initiatives and managing complex data projects.
- Proven ability to facilitate organizational change management and align data strategies with business operations.
- Strong communication skills, with experience conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A proactive, independent thinker with a passion for tackling new challenges and developing an understanding of diverse data domains and sources.
- Previous experience leading cross-functional project teams to develop innovative data solutions, leveraging both internal and external data sources.
- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Experience developing, testing, documenting, and maintaining standardized outcome metrics for diverse business needs.
- Experience developing and implementing standardized reporting methodologies for both internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Six Sigma, Lean, or similar process improvement certifications.
- Experience with data technologies and tools used in modern data platforms.
- Experience in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, particularly in cross-functional or global teams.
- Familiarity with Agile (Scrum) methodologies.
- Experience supporting and managing cross-functional teams in dynamic, fast-changing environments.
Technical and Skills Requirements:
- Deep understanding of business processes and the ability to collaborate across diverse functions to design data-driven solutions.
- Skilled at balancing and managing complex requirements, timelines, and competing priorities, while developing standardized, scalable solutions that improve efficiency and reduce costs across the company.
- Ability to manage the acceptance of change resulting from business process improvements across all levels of the organization.
- Involvement in system upgrades and enhancements, as well as the rollout of new business applications across multiple operational units or countries.
- Expertise in managing multiple tasks and deadlines while ensuring alignment with company-wide data management standards and solutions.
- This senior role will require an experienced data professional who can lead and influence cross-functional teams, manage complex data requirements, and drive successful data transformation initiatives at a global scale.
