As an Enterprise AWS Data Architect, you will design a comprehensive data management framework and drive the development of a robust data strategy to meet Client and industry standards. Collaborating closely with IT management and cross-functional teams, you will design data pipelines, manage data flow, and ensure data integrity, accessibility, and compliance. In addition to developing and maintaining data architecture procedures and artifacts, you will monitor system performance and ensure alignment with business and technical objectives. Proficiency in AWS cloud infrastructure and services, along with strong communication skills, are essential to bridge the needs of business operations and IT.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the current state of data systems and establish the System of Record and Data Dictionary.
- Develop and manage Enterprise Architecture, including Conceptual, Logical, and Physical data models.
- Conduct business sessions to validate taxonomy and use cases, designing core data models and supporting new structures.
- Modernize and optimize data models to enhance performance, security, and usability.
- Define Client architecture across data layers and assist in setting best practices for naming conventions.
- Collaborate with ETL developers, database administrators, and other stakeholders on efficient database usage.
- Promote and review data models across projects, identifying opportunities for reuse and standardization.
- Guide team members on project requirements, system integration, and data architecture best practices.
- Lead data model design reviews and mentor team members on data modeling principles.
- Support data governance efforts, ensuring compliance with data management policies and best practices.
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
- 15+ years as a Data Architect, Data Modeler, or Data Analyst
- Proficiency in AWS Cloud Architecture, including AWS Glue, Data Brew, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, Athena, Redshift, and DMS
- Extensive experience in data management, governance, modeling, and data cataloging
- Expertise in data engineering, ETL processes, and maintaining data quality
- Operational and analytical data modeling skills – 15 years
- Data governance and master data management expertise – 15 years
- Metadata management and data cataloging – 15 years
- Strong command of data engineering principles, including ETL and data quality management – 15 years
- AWS Cloud Architecture with specific tool experience – 10 years
- Excellent communication skills, including procedural and explanatory writing for diverse audiences
- Detail-oriented with strong prioritization and multitasking abilities
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with mainframe technologies (Cobol, Db2, IMS DB/DC, VSAM, JCL) – 5 years
