You may review, modify, or update your information by visiting and logging into the careers section of the system.Job Description:At Regions, the Software Engineer Group Manager oversees application development for two or more large departments within the company and manages all aspects of system design, development, deployment, acquisition, and ongoing maintenance for all application systems within area of responsibility.Primary ResponsibilitiesServes as the primary technology contact for senior management from all areas of the organization in developing technology solutions that increase the efficiency of internal business functions, resolves business problems, and supports the pursuit of business opportunities for area of responsibilityCreates and refines operational processes and systems to ensure effective regulatory and audit complianceApplies interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify basic lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutionsEvaluates customer and operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrates technical parameters, and assures compatibility of all interfacesSupports the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of requirements through management processesThis position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay

Strategic Leadership:Develop and execute the digital software engineering strategy in alignment with enterprise goals.Partner with executive leadership to ensure digital initiatives drive business value and improve customer experience.Lead digital transformation efforts, modernizing legacy systems and driving innovation in software engineering.2
Team Management:Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of software engineers, architects, and technical leads.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration across software engineering teams.Promote diversity, inclusion, and professional development within the team.3
Technology Vision & Innovation:Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software engineering.Spearhead the adoption of cutting-edge tools, platforms, and methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps, cloud-native development).Drive the development of AI, machine learning, and data-driven software solutions to improve business performance.Drive the development and adoption of Omni-Channel experiences across all banking channels.4
Delivery & Execution:Oversee the full software development lifecycle, ensuring timely and quality delivery of products.Implement best practices for software architecture, design, coding standards, and testing.Collaborate with product leadership, UX/UI teams, and other stakeholders to deliver customer-centric solutions.5
Governance & Risk Management:Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements across all software platforms.Manage budgets, resources, and vendor relationships to maximize ROI on digital initiatives.Mitigate risks by implementing robust testing, monitoring, and continuous improvement processes.6
