The AFINC II contract supporting the 26^th Network Operations Squadron (26NOS) is searching for qualified candidates for a position of Senior Domain Name Services (DNS) Engineer. We are seeking an individual for information system administration with strong cybersecurity knowledge. • Provide user desktop support that includes hardware that would sit on a particular user's desk to network connectivity and basic computer functions.
• Maintain a directory of domain names and translate them to Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. 
• Install, configure, and maintain network services, equipment and devices.
• Support network and computing infrastructure.
• Maintains DNS MX records for all domains accepting email services within the Microsoft O365 Cloud.
• Documents network problems and resolution for future reference.
• Monitor system performance and assist in implementing performance tuning.
• Requires a thorough knowledge of networking essentials.
• Provides support for network security through patching and system maintenance and upgrades.
• Prepares and schedules computer setup, repair, configuration changes, or replacement
• Provides telephone, e-mail, remote access, or in-person solutions to day-to-day DNS issues.
• Support IS team in meeting key performance indicators and metrics.
• Assist with the maintenance of records for hardware and software use along with license usage.
• Displays continuous improvement of current processes and procedures.
• Develops strategies and processes to ensure on-time delivery of equipment, cost reduction opportunities and performance improvements.
• Demonstrates good working knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware, and common business software such as MS Office.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current operating systems.
• Understands the role of IS in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge with modern LAN/WAN solutions including IP networking - MPLS, QOS, SONET/SDH optical solutions, and serial communications, TCP, UDP, DHCP, SSH, NTP, DNS, ARP, ICMP, SCP, and TFTP, and DMZ zone DNS secure administration. 

Education/Experience

• Technical degree, Associates or, bachelor’s degree in computer science/information systems, or Science/Engineering/Math
• or 5-7 years’ relevant experience in Information Technology preferably within system or application administration

Certifications

• Requires a DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification:
  • CompTIA Security+ CE (Continuing Education)
  • CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) CE (Continuing Education)
  • (ISC)² Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
  • GIAC Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP)
  • GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)
  • (ISC)² Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)

• Requires a Computing Environment/Operating System (CE/OS) Defense Cyberspace Workforce Certification (DCWF) requirement(s):
  • Infoblox Core Network 2016 Advanced Services Expert
  • Infoblox DDI Professional:
    • DNS,
    • DHCP,
    • or IPAM

Clearance: 

• Active DoD Secret or higher security clearance required.
