We are a talented, hardworking group that share values and characteristics that drive client, professional, and personal success. geocgi is looking for an Enterprise Geodatabase Engineer with an existing DoD Secret clearance and CompTIA Security + certification to support the USMC from the Installation Service Branch data center in Kansas City, MO. The Enterprise Geodatabase Engineer is responsible for requirements gathering, capacity planning, database design, implementation, and compliance. The candidate will execute the responsibilities of an Enterprise Geodatabase Engineer, which include:
- Implementing proven IT/GIS strategies for platform architecture.
- Troubleshooting high availability systems and platform issues.
- Designing architecture solutions to support multiple systems feeding data into ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Leverage scripting to automate database management processes.
- Working closely with customers and partners to identify, design, and certify key GIS workflows for the ArcGIS Enterprise platform.

The following are requirements of the Enterprise Geodatabase Engineer:
- Bachelors or masters in geography, computer science, engineering, mathematics, GIS, or a related field, depending on position level.
- 5+ years experience designing, implementing, and/or administrating Esri enterprise GIS solutions/systems
- DoD Secret Clearance
- CompTIA Security + Certification
- Demonstrated proficiency creating configurable apps with ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal for ArcGIS/ArcGIS Online
- Experience with Virtual Machine infrastructure and management
- Experience with enterprise geodatabase management
The following are desired capabilities and experience of the Enterprise Geodatabase Engineer:
- Certifications (GISP, Esri Enterprise, Microsoft, PMP)
- Knowledge of cloud services and concepts
- Experience developing applications using ArcPy, ArcGIS API in Python, C# or JavaScript
- Experience with T-SQL, SQL, PL/SQL, or other RDBMS tools
- Ability to work independently and proactively to take initiative to solve complex problems
- Excellent writing and communication skills
