Purpose of the Position:
The Enterprise Project Manager (PM) is responsible for successfully managing assigned projects across the organization in support of the organization’s on-going strategic vision. The PM plans, executes, and monitors projects to ensure deliverables are kept on track and the projects stay on budget and within scope. This role works cross-functionally within the Enterprise, including the Information Technology Project Management Office. This role supports continuing to build the Enterprise Project Management Office brand.
UMA is a nonprofit healthcare educational institution with a national presence. Headquartered in Tampa, Florida and founded in 1994, UMA offers content-rich, interactive online programs as well as hands-on training at our Clearwater, Florida campus.
Anticipated salary of $73,100-$85,000; based on experience and qualifications.

What you’ll do:
- Requirements Definition: Collaborate with stakeholders to establish project requirements and scope.
- Accountability and Resource Assistance: Take ownership of critical project deliverables and assist in resource planning and allocation.
- Effective Communication: Regularly monitor, track, and report project milestones, status, and risks to key stakeholders. Ensure proactive communication to address any barriers and keep projects on track within budget and scope.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them is essential. This includes anticipating issues that could derail a project and having contingency plans in place.
- Lead by Example: Demonstrate effective enterprise project management leadership by following EPMO best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in project management, with a focus on enterprise initiatives.
- Experience learning and implementing new technologies and adapting processes for continual improvement.
- Experience with program, project, or portfolio management tools, like Daptiv, Easy Project, Monday.com, MS Project, and Wrike.
- Skills – analytical/problem-solving, interpersonal, organization, professionalism, optimism, and influence.
- Ability to professionally communicate fluently in verbal and written English.
- Ability to support a diverse and inclusive work environment.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other business tools such as Microsoft Teams.
Preferred Requirements:
- 2-4 years’ experience and/or strong/advanced proficiency with any of the above minimum requirements.
- Any advanced degree or equivalent experience.
- Healthcare and/or Higher Education experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, or related.
- Prosci certification or experience.
Compliance:
- Demonstrate knowledge of, and carefully follows all applicable state laws and rules, federal and state compliance requirements and regulations including those prescribed by the U.S. Department of Education, accrediting agencies, state regulations and internal policies and procedures.
- Effectively communicate compliance requirements to other staff as appropriate and quickly escalate any compliance concerns to the Compliance department.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
- This is a full-time remote position.
- Home office set up, quiet place to work, and ability to hard wire into high-speed internet connection.
- May require setup of computer equipment; accommodation consideration available upon request.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
