Title: Entry Level Account Manager
Location: Birmingham, AL (In-office)
Salary: $35,000 plus commission
Vaco Birmingham is looking for a high-energy, hard-working, sales-minded team player to join our client’s team as an Account Manager/Freight Broker. The primary role of the Account Manager is to identify opportunities for new business through continuous prospecting with the ability to convert leads into active sales.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients.
- Oversee and manage clients' transportation needs.
- Negotiate freight rates while fostering continuous, sustainable growth.
- Monitor and track transportation logistics for client operations.
- Collaborate with a team to enhance and streamline processes.
- Handle multiple daily client interactions to ensure service and satisfaction.
Requirements:
- College Degree strongly preferred but not required.
- An exceptional work ethic and the ability to gain commitments from customers as well as trainees.
- Must possess strong analytical, strategic selling, and creative thinking skills.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
- A high sense of personal accountability as well accountability for the team.
