Job Summary:
As an Entry-Level Civil Engineer, you'll play a vital role in designing and developing projects for Energy, Industrial, and Government clients. These projects range from natural gas pipelines and facilities to electrical distribution and transmission systems, renewables, landfills, mining facilities, dams, water resources, and stream restoration. Under the guidance of Professional Engineers, you'll engage in conceptual design, engineering analysis, and detailed calculations.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and comprehensive reports to support project development. Ensure all documentation is accurate and aligns with project goals and regulatory standards.
- Site Inspections: Conduct thorough site inspections to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety standards. Identify and address any issues or discrepancies observed during inspections.
- Client Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with clients to ensure project goals are understood and met. Provide regular updates and address any client concerns promptly.
- Support Tasks: Assist with the design and implementation of grading plans, stormwater management systems, and utility systems. Manage the permitting process to ensure all necessary approvals are obtained on time.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field
- You have 0-2 years of experience in civil engineering design projects
- On the path to obtaining Engineer in Training (EIT) certification
- Basic business and technical writing skills
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
You are willing and able to perform the physical demands of this position with the use of Company-provided Personal Protective Equipment:
- Working outdoors in varying weather conditions outside normal business hours, as needed
- Walking over rough and uneven terrain, maneuvering field equipment safely, such as a loaded wheelbarrow
- Routinely lifting and carrying 40-50lbs, (field/laboratory samples and equipment)
- Traveling out-of-town and possibly overnight for assignments as needed
