Responsibilities include:

• Assisting the design team with preparation of raodway drainage and stormwater designs;
• Performing Hydrology and hydraulics design calculation and analyzing existing projects;
• Coordinating with multiple utility owners, MDOT, municipalities and regulatory agencies;
• Preparing or modifying reports, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, permits, and designs for projects;
• Preparing design computations and quantity estimates;
• Assisting with quantity take offs and cost estimates for projects.
• Some travel will be require

The successful candidate must have the following: 

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil engineering or environmental engineering from an accredited college or university
• EIT or ability to pass FE exam within six month of hire date
• Transportation and/or hydrology and hydraulics related coursework
• Previous internship in civil or transportation engineering

The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:

• AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation software experience
• Ability to read engineering plans, contours, and drafting
• Previous civil engineering internship
• Utility coordination and design experience
• Municipal engineering design experience
