This opportunity resides with Global Security (GS), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Global Security comprises live, virtual, constructive training and range systems, services and operations; fleet maintenance, repair, operations and sustainment; nuclear; and international. Who We Are
HII Mission Technologies is seeking a motivated Engineer 1 to join our dynamic team. In this entry- level position, you will support engineering projects and contribute to the design, development, and testing of innovative technology solutions. You will collaborate with senior engineers and cross- functional teams to deliver high-quality results.
What You Will Do
- Performs engineering functions in one or more of the following specialties: electronics, electrical, mechanical, civil, naval, and/or chemical.
- Assist in the design and development of engineering projects, adhering to specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct research and analysis to support project objectives and requirements.
- Participate in testing and evaluation of systems and components, documenting results and findings.
- Prepare technical documentation, including reports, specifications, and user manuals.
- Support project management efforts by tracking progress and contributing to project plans.
- Engage in continuous learning to develop engineering skills and knowledge of relevant technologies.
What You Must Have
- 0 years experience with Bachelors in related field.
- Candidate must have knowledge in AutoCAD
- Candidate must have the ability to read and interpret drawings
- Candidate must be able to perform ship checks
- Candidate must have experience in Microsoft Office
- Candidate must have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Candidate must have ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Candidate must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

- Experience in 2D AutoCAD
