**Job Description**
**AECOM** is actively seeking an **Entry Level Highway Design Civil Engineer** in the **Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania** area to join AECOM’s Transportation team.
_This position is flexible to begin in Winter of 2024 or Spring of 2025._
**The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:**
+ Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
+ Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
+ Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
+ Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
+ Design of roadway geometry, traffic control, signing, and pavement markings.
+ Utility coordination support.
+ Computer Aided Design production.
+ Calculation of quantities and cost estimates.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Academic track with focus in transportation, highways, roadways, and/or pavement design is highly desirable.
+ Demonstrate effective time management, task prioritization, and strong interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to work productively in a team environment.
+ Professionalism in verbal and written communications.
+ Ability to adapt to shifting priorities/work schedules.
+ Proficient in MS Office Suite.
+ NCEES FE (any state).
+ Technical experience preferred in MicroStation & AutoCAD, BlueBeam, OpenRoads, and/or InRoads.
+ Prior relevant internship experience.
+ Receptive to comments and direction provided by others.
+ Valid U.S. Driver’s License preferred to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices when public transportation is not available.
**Additional Information**
+ We are interested in every qualified candidate eligible to work in the United States. Permanent residency sponsorship is available for current H1-B visa holders in the United States.
+ Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $55,029.50 - $75,665.57.
