Panasonic Energy of North America (PENA) is working in collaboration with Tesla Motors, Inc. at the Gigafactory manufacturing large-scale advanced batteries. We are hiring Entry Level Machine Operators at our USA Parkway facility and are currently looking to substantially grow our team and this team is changing the world! Panasonic is proud to provide FREE transportation from the Sparks area to the job site!
Now offering $22.88/hour (full time permanent position) and we have all shifts available! We manufacture and supply cylindrical lithium-ion cells for some of the world's leading electric vehicle manufacturers including Tesla Motors, Inc. Based on the battery demand from Tesla, the Gigafactory plans to produce cells which will double the world's current production.

Entry Level Machine Operator Essential Duties:
• Maintain input levels to ensure it is fully loaded with Slitting jigs
• Unload and reload machine with new Slitting jigs when empty
• Ensure correct labeling and tracking of material to point of use
• Monitor Prep machines during idle time for smooth operation
• Ensure output side is being kept fully loaded with empty Winding carts
• Unload and reload output side with new empty Winding carts when empty
• Perform bobbin inspections prior to returning empty bobbins to Slitting on empty Slitting jigs
• Report all unusable bobbins to shift lead at end of shift to replenish bobbins inventory
• Perform housekeeping tasks such as sweeping or removing scrap material etc.
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Report all equipment failures, damages, and truck accidents as they occur. Provide feedback to the safety committee on environmental issues affecting safe equipment operation

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to do the following:
- Stand and walk for extended amounts of time
- Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Reach with hands and arms
- Talk and hear
- The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance
- The employee must regularly lift and/ or move anywhere from 25 pounds to 100 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to work up to 12- hour shifts
- Required to wear PPE (personal protective equipment) such as but not limited to; hard hat, respirator, gloves, eye protection, steel toe boots, etc.
- Must be able to work in a construction and clean room environment with exposure to heat, dust, and noisy conditions
Essential Requirements:
- Must be able to perform basic system analysis to load and unload correct material jigs to point of use
- Basic Computer Knowledge required
- Ability to work with a team of knowledgeable professionals and partners
- Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English
