What will you do?
In this role, you will set up an operation of manual and automated equipment, including drills, lathes grinders/finishers, welding, oxy/fuel, forklifts, saws, and paint booth.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Work from process sheets, blueprints, or other written/verbal instructions given by the supervisor to perform production tasks.
+ Maneuver large, awkward, or heavy parts manually or with a crane.
+ Setup, operate, and tend machines used to process components.
+ Install align and lock dies, punches, blades, or other machine fixtures to ensure safe operation of the machine.
+ Maintain machine and work area in a clean and safe manner.
+ Check and inspect operation against predetermined tolerances.
+ Work safely and wear all required PPE for the duration of the shift.
+ Work in other areas or departments as assigned.
+ Schedule: 2nd shift: Monday - Thursday, 2:30 PM - 1:00 AM

Key Competencies:
+ Requires average math skills, simple oral communication skills; ability to read and comprehend instructions written in English and complete simple logs and reports in English
+ Must be physically able to handle heavy items including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning components
+ Must be able to work scheduled hours and comply with the company’s timekeeping policy and all other company policies
+ Must be able to consistently stand for an entire shift
+ Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment
+ Knowledge of basic machining practices and materials is a plus, as is general mechanical knowledge
+ Prior forklift experience is a plus
+ Ability to work in a team setting

Wage information:
+ Wage Range: $18.21 - $27.43 per hour
Please note that the compensation information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to California’s SB 1162 Pay Equity Law. It is estimated based on what a successful California applicant might be paid. It assumes that the successful candidate will be in California or perform the position from California. Similar positions located outside of California will not necessarily receive the same compensation.
The base salary range above represents the low and high end of Martin’s salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be within the range based on various factors, including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Martin’s total compensation package for employees. In addition, Martin provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life, and disability insurance, a profit-sharing plan, a 401K trust plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
