DARCARS Automotive Group is now seeking a Marketing Event Coordinator!
As one of the largest privately-owned dealership groups in the country, DARCARS is dedicated to making Community Outreach a priority. We currently devote a great deal of time and resources to incredible causes in our communities as well as hosting, sponsoring, and participating in community events.
We’re looking for a highly skilled and creative Event Coordinator to craft consistently memorable, efficiently run events. Someone in this position will not only coordinate and execute events with our current partners but also cultivate new relationships with our customers and team members.
The ideal candidate will be able to collaborate with our corporate marketing team on drafting new opportunities as well as manage both internal and external communications. Above all, this person must be comfortable in a role that demands a creative, business-driven, relationship-building mindset, with the ultimate goal of fostering long-term relationships across our communities.
DARCARS currently has locations throughout Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., Florida, New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey.
Responsibilities:- Develop a complete understanding of the requirements for every event
- Research vendors and make selections based on creativity, quality, and cost
- Book venues, schedule guests, draft and finalize contracts, and plot out day-of logistics
- Develop concepts for event materials and work directly with a graphic designer to produce
- Hire personnel as needed across all functions of an event (ie. registration, setup, catering, audio/visual)
- Handle day-to-day administration of events, including order placements, BEO reviews, vendor monitoring, travel planning, restaurant reservations, attendee participation, registration counts, RSVP tracking, and issue resolution
- Create and maintain event budgets and timelines
- Experience in event planning or event coordination in a corporate environment
- Proven track record of successful, creative events
- Experience working in graphic design, sales, marketing, and communications
- Excellent organizational, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain a customer-service mindset
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in hospitality management or public relations
- Experience managing budgets and tracking expenses
- Knowledge of PowerPoint, Acrobat, and Excel
- Proficiency in a language other than English
