Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position available for an Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer.
Responsibilities:Responsibilities include:
- Performing job site surveys of food and beverage manufacturing facilities to analyze ammonia refrigeration, process glycol and HVAC systems
- Calculating refrigeration requirements for process cooling loads and building loads
- Performing engineering calculations for system designs
- Assisting in the selection of system components required for new and existing systems
- Drafting and editing AutoCAD drawings
- Assisting in the development of project documentations
- Assisting in creating written specifications for equipment; coordinating technical specifications, delivery requirements, and quotation parameters with outside equipment suppliers, subcontractors and customers.
- Travel will be required.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university or be able to obtain degree within nine months of hire.
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:
- A mechanical internship working in an engineering, architecture, or construction firm
- Coursework in heat transfer and thermodynamics
- Coursework or experience in AutoCAD
- Capability of obtaining an EIT within nine months of hire
- Familiarity with International Mechanical Code requirements, ASHRAE standards, and building construction material
