Here's what you'll be doing:
- Liaison with contractors and engineers on schedules, permits, inspections, work orders and providing administrative support to the project management team
- Prepare and update projects by building files to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Coordinating with project managers to understand construction project scope of work
- Actively track progress of construction process to ensure project schedules are coordinated
- Assist in the preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports that discuss, in detail, the status of the project
- Estimate, build, and track working change orders for construction projects
- Participate in on-site visits with the project management team to help kick off and track a construction project
- Review contracts with project managers to identify potential liabilities
Requirements
The Assistant Project Manager role may be entry-level, but we'd encourage anyone who is applying to see this as an entry-point into an organization that truly values ambition and rewards hard work. The only limits to where someone in this position can rise are the ones they put on themselves. Requirements are simple:
- Willingness to lead and direct job sites to completion
- Ability to communicate effectively with contractors and engineers
- A degree in construction management (preferred)
- Experience with software such as Procore, Microsoft Excel, and Google Docs (preferred)
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain organization in project documentation.
- A natural inclination towards putting customers first
- Willingness to try, learn new things, admit mistakes, adapt and change
- The ability to defuse situations through empathy and logical problem solving
