Entry-Level Structural Engineer - Belcan

An Entry Level Structures Engineer job with Belcan Engineering Group is currently available in Lexington KY. This job is a full time direct position. To be considered for this role, you will need Bachelor"s Degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.This work requires working Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6 am - 6 pm EST, 2 hours Monday morning and 2 hours Thursday afternoon. Will be mostly remote while supporting this task.Job Duties:* Perform structural analysis using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) as well as classical aircraft hand stress analysis methods* Perform plan, model, and results reviews, internally and with the customer* Ensure that calculations and models are systematically checked and validated* Perform analysis, evaluate results, and prepare formal reports of the findings* Liaison with other teams as required and interact with OEM customers* Maintain strong communication with internal project team and customerRequired Qualifications:* Bachelor"s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent* 0-2 years of experience* Ability to learn new tools and concepts quickly* Experience writing analysis reports* Must have good time management and interpersonal skills* Must have good verbal and written communication skills* Must have good computer skills* Ability to work 36 hrs over the weekend and 4 hrs during the week* Travel to customer and work site locations as required* Legal authorization to work in the US required* Travel to customer and work site locations as requiredPreferred Qualifications & Skills:* Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis software* VBA or similar programming skill setCompensation:We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $60,000 to $65,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
