ABOUT THE POSITION
VHB is seeking an Entry Level Structural Engineer to join the team! This position will be based out of our New York City, NY office.
Responsibilities
- Perform conceptual, preliminary, and final design of bridges, retaining walls, and simple vertical structures including traffic sign and signal supports
- Perform bridge inspections and load capacity ratings
- Perform bridge scoping studies and alternatives analyses
- Drafting of project details and plans using MicroStation software platforms
- Calculate construction item quantities and cost estimates
- Develop construction contract documents and specifications

Qualifications
- BS in Civil Engineering (structural emphasis)
- 0-1 years of experience
Our best estimate of the salary range for this position located in New York City is $78,000-$84,000. The final compensation will be based on a variety of factors such as individual qualifications, education, and experience.
