Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our service team. The Service Advisor will play a crucial role in assisting customers with their vehicle service needs, providing expert advice and guidance, and ensuring a positive service experience from start to finish. We are looking for a long term, energetic professional who is ambitious, hardworking, and ready to showcase their skills in problem solving, sales and customer service. To guarantee optimum customer satisfaction, we are looking for an extraordinary individual to provide our customers with a friendly greeting and honest fair guidance. Our Service Advisors act as the liaison between Customer and Technician, by providing the customer with in-depth information about their vehicle's maintenance and assuring repairs are completed in the appropriate time frame and budget quoted.
Submit your resume and supporting documents for sales and CSI. This position reports to our Service Manager. Your schedule would be M-F and rotating Saturday. This is a commission-based position.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and professionally as they arrive at the dealership for service appointments, and listen attentively to their vehicle concerns and service needs.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections upon check-in, and provide clear and accurate explanations of recommended services and repair options to customers.
- Estimate service costs, including parts and labor, and provide customers with detailed written estimates for approval before work begins.
- Coordinate service appointments and schedules, ensuring that customers' vehicles are serviced in a timely manner and that appointments are scheduled efficiently to maximize technician productivity.
- Communicate regularly with customers throughout the service process, providing updates on the status of their vehicles, notifying them of any additional repairs or services needed, and obtaining approval for any changes to the original service plan.
- Coordinate with service technicians and parts department staff to ensure that all necessary parts and materials are available for scheduled service appointments, and that repairs are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with vehicle pick-up and delivery arrangements for customers, including arranging transportation or loaner vehicles as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of customer interactions, service orders, and vehicle history in the dealership's CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system.
- Follow dealership policies and procedures, including safety protocols and warranty guidelines, in all aspects of service advisor duties.
- Staying up to date on Manufacturer training
Qualifications::
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in automotive technology or customer service preferred.
- Previous experience as a service advisor or in a related role, preferably in an automotive dealership or service center preferred but not required. Luxury OEM experience is a plus.
- Proven CSI and sales history
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers and effectively explain technical information in a clear and understandable manner.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using computerized systems and software, including CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
