Join us. **Job Description** **AECOM** is seeking an **Entry Level Water/Wastewater Engineer** to be based in **Dallas, Texas.** _This position is expected to begin in May or June 2025._ The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: + Provides technical support for a variety of utility design related projects, including treatment plants, pump/booster stations, water line and collection line design, rehabilitation, master planning, and construction administration. + Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings. + Work under the supervision of a senior project manager in the water/wastewater/water resources practice or senior-level team members. + Utilize basic engineering principles, judgment, theories, practices, and existing technologies to develop solutions for technical problems. + Work on routine or detailed engineering assignments involving calculations and engineering analyses. + Perform work with little supervision. + Propose approaches to solve new problems. + Identify discrepancies in outcomes, results, and analysis of engineering tasks. + Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables. + Record field data using tablets and GPS units. + Record and interpret data, conduct analyses, prepare reports, and compare findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance. + Perform data gathering site visits, field measurements, mapping, and observations during construction. + Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings. + Software use includes, but is not limited to: AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, Bentley and/or hydraulic modeling packages. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering + none or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education + A valid U.S. Driver’s License is required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. + Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required. **Preferred Qualifications** + Progressive experience with water/wastewater utility planning, modeling, condition assessment, and design. + Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as CADD, HCS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, Hydrologic/Hydraulic models). + Demonstrated time management skills, work ethic and attention to detail. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with technicians, designers, engineers, and project managers for the preparation of high-quality work products. + Ability to communicate and coordinate with clients, subconsultants, regulatory agencies, and members of the public as may be necessary to accomplish assigned objectives. + Ability to work productively in a collaborative team environment,and demonstrate growth potential as well as a desire to learn. + Detail oriented while still able to understand/comply with the big picture/goals of a project. + Ability to multi-task. + Flexible – can adapt to shifting priorities / work schedules. + Able to work independently. + Self-learner. + Can take direction from others and in turn can provide guidance to others. **Additional Information** + Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
