Summary:
This position contributes to operational effectiveness of WCP Envelope Division by providing outstanding customer service, through quality cutting showing accuracy and craftsmanship. This is a Safety Sensitive position and subject to the laws of the State of Oregon. Consistant and reliable attendance is required.
WCP Envelope manufactures and prints custom envelopes. Envelope die cutting experience preferred but willing to train. Experience working with paper or in bindery position a plus. Candidate will be trained for the following:
Essential Functions:
• Die Cut both custom and stock products.
• Cut on various die cutting machines with accuracy and quality.
• Operate a straight knife.
• Overall shop organization with inventory items
• Regular and reliable attendance.
Other Functions:
• Manage paper inventory.
• Solve order problems for customers when necessary (miss printed or improper layouts).
• Sharpen tooling and maintain equipment.
• Maintain clean paper recycling program.
• Work with overall team to promote efficiency and safety.
• Perform other functions as necessary.
Qualifications:
• Must have basic math skills.
• Ability to read a ruler / micrometer.
• Ability to drive forklift and operate pallet jack.

• Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives.
• Detail oriented, able to work with little direct supervision; well organized, with the ability to prioritize, coordinate and simultaneously maintain multiple projects and effectively follow through on projects.
• Strong critical thinking, questioning, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work well under pressure and in an environment full of deadlines, providing accurate output.
• Approachable, flexible, adaptable to change.
Working Conditions:
• Warehouse environment.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time; regularly lift 25 - 50lbs.
• Occasional overtime and weekends may be required.
Occupational hazards:
• Sharp tooling / cut hazard
• Back strain / Lifting hazard
• Repetitive motion hazard
• Trip hazards (hazards can easily be avoided when operating machine properly)
