About the Job
MUST HAVE-
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or similar field of study
- 3-5 + years of experience as an environmental engineer, including experience in record keeping and reporting requirements
- ability to analyze and improve business structures and processes,
- Ability to manage significant capital projects aimed at improving environmental performance
- experience with Title V permits, NSR permits, PBRs and standard air permits, SPCC plans, and SWPPP permits
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental Engineer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental engineering and a passion for protecting the environment. The Environmental Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing sustainable solutions that minimize the impact of human activities on the environment.
Duties:
- Conduct research and analysis to identify potential environmental hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Design and implement wastewater treatment systems to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Utilize AutoCAD and MicroStation to create detailed drawings of engineering projects.
- Collaborate with project engineers to develop project schedules and ensure successful project execution.
- Develop and implement environmental management systems to minimize waste and reduce the environmental footprint of our operations.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in environmental law and ensure that our operations comply with all relevant regulations.
- Develop and maintain records and reports of environmental monitoring and testing.
- Identify and recommend cost-effective measures to reduce energy consumption and environmental impact.
- Ensure that all projects and operations are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Skills:
- Strong background in environmental engineering with a focus on wastewater treatment.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D and CAD software, including AutoCAD and MicroStation.
- Experience with project scheduling and project engineering.
- Knowledge of environmental law and regulations.
- Excellent research skills and the ability to analyze complex data.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
