Vaco Atlanta is working with an impressivecompany in Kennesaw, GA in their search for an Environmental Health & Safety Manager. This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity which requires in-office work. Only candidates who live in the metropolitan Atlanta, Georgia, USA area will be considered since in-office work is required.
Responsibilities:
- Develop & implement safety programs to improve company culture
- Maintain knowledge of EHS laws & regulations
- Manage Worker's Compensation program and provide recommendations
- Handle compliance with all environmental & safety standards
- Conduct new hire training and safety-related training
- Manage safety audits and monitor safety programs
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Safety Engineering, Safety Science, Industrial Hygiene or related discipline is REQUIRED
- Certification in professional EHS field is preferred
- Must have at least 5 years of progressive experience managing federal, state & local safety requirements
- Must have experience implementing an EHS management system
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong presentation skills

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
