Your opportunity: Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Specialist
Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Specialist - Your Job Duties:
- Lead / Co-Chair the Employee Engagement and Safety committee
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports to local, state, federal & countries entities as required (including OSHA requirements)
- Serve as primary point of contact for OSHA and other safety audits
- Provide support to, and centralize point of contact, for matters related to workers compensation claims, investigations and audits and return to work / modified duties
- Maintain up-to-date safety policies and procedures (ie: Injury Illness Prevention Program, safety programs, safe work practices and equipment) including writing and updating procedures, creating safety flyers and employee communications
- Develop safety and environmental policies and procedures standards to comply with federal state, and county requirements
- Prepare and conducts training, inspections and enforcing safety policies to establish a culture of health and safety
- May support other human resources (HR) department needs (ie: onboarding, leaves, HR generalist or coordination support activities)
Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Specialist - Required Skills & Prior Experience
- You have previous experience and strong knowledge of OSHA compliance requirements / safety initiatives
- You have a high attention to detail and pride yourself on accuracy (including with OSHA audits and writing detailed safety policies)
- You have written policies and procedures (ie: safety procedures)
- Prior experience with HAZWOPER regulations (desired, not required)
Your compensation will be $75,000 to $80,000 base salary plus additional bonus potential.
