Staffmark is seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager for our facility in Urbana, OH. If you're passionate about promoting safety and environmental programs, we want to hear from you!
Salary: Based on experience
Shift: Monday - Friday, with possible weekends
As the Environmental Health and Safety Manager, you will report directly to the Facility Director and be instrumental in implementing and enhancing safety and environmental initiatives.
Your duties will include:
Collaborating with the global community to share strategies and information.
Managing relationships with vendors for supplies and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Coordinating EHS activities with management and staff to foster a culture of safety and engagement.
Promoting a drug-free workplace and facilitating daily safety audits.
Tracking and reporting EHS data during production and monthly meetings.
Leading monthly Safety Committee meetings and overseeing Industrial Hygiene testing to ensure compliance.
Managing chemical safety systems, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS), labeling, storage, and hazardous waste management.
Conducting root cause analyses for EHS incidents and overseeing Worker's Compensation processes.
Keeping abreast of new EHS regulations and maintaining all environmental management systems.
Delivering EHS training to new hires and ongoing training for all employees.
Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, or a related field (preferred).
Professional certifications in Environmental Management or Occupational Health and Safety are a plus.
Minimum of 3-5 years of safety leadership experience in a manufacturing setting, ideally within the plastics industry.
