Overview
Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is now hiring a People Development Manager!
This position reports to People Development Director and works with the Corporate Office, District Managers, Directors of Operations, and onsite Training Account Managers to support teams and optimize performance through the planning, execution, follow through and measurement of training, aligned to the Company plan and specific division needs.
This role is responsible for recruitment of Managers In Training (MITs), the execution of training plans, measurement and follow-through in support of new facility openings, the training center certification process, supports the performance evaluation process, and helps to build a culture of engagement through leadership, communication, teaching and encouraging involvement, seeking and providing feedback and recognition.
Responsibilities
- With oversight by the People Development Director, works with VPs, Directors of Operations (DO) and District Managers (DM) to implement and annually evaluate Corporate-approved certified Training Center Account Managers (TCAM) and their teams and facilities.
- Maintains a relationship with and awareness of the status of approved certification, implementation of Corporate-approved programs, and measurement of Training Centers, Training Center Account Managers and MITs/DOL Registered Apprentices.
- Is responsible for maintaining a pipeline of candidates for the certified MIT program/DOL Registered Apprenticeship Program and has frequent communication with TCAMs in area of oversight.
- Recruits for and provide support for the execution and measurement of the certified Manager-In-Training (MIT) program
- Provide assistance for the identification and development of HCSG Certified Training Center Account Managers
- Assists Training Center Account Managers to plan, execute, and measure the certified MIT training program and collects graduation and other results for reporting to the Senior Director of Operations / Training.
- Works with operations and sales to coordinate required training for new business starts and reviews MIT placement, aligned with HCSG policies, procedures, systems and Company goals.
- Assists in reskilling operational management employees in HCSG policies, procedures, systems, software platforms as needed.
- Communicates and supports execution of the training/recruiting/performance evaluation plans; shares results, provides feedback and ideas to maximize performance for HCSG
- Where applicable, provides support for the achievement of state/county-required programs, ServSafe Food Handler, ServSafe Food Safety Manager, Certified Food Manager (CFM) and Certified Dietary Manager (CDM/CFPP) standards through ensuring enrollment, instruction and communication of results to appropriate stakeholders.
- Provides support to the field by providing information and tools related to training development and performance improvement through reporting and auditing of accounts, etc.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
- Specialized training in dining services management and nutrition is desirable.
- Specialized training in environmental services management is desirable.
- Training experience highly preferred; experience coordinating and measuring the results of training programs highly preferred
- Recruiting experience highly preferred
- Must successfully complete the Manger in Training courses for environmental and dining service MITs and spend at least one week working in EVS and one week working in DS.
- Must pass computer competency test administered by Corporate Human Resources.
- Two years’ experience in quantity food production/service or environmental services and one-year personnel supervision desired.
- Must provide a criminal background check.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Must live in service area.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- Compliance with COVID-19 Vaccination Policies, as required by State, Local, and/or Customers.
- Must be able to see, hear, taste and smell.
- Must be able to drive, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
- Must be able to observe staff and all aspects of dining and environmental service and operations and give appropriate, timely feedback
