Chemours is seeking an Environmental Intern to join our Minerals Enterprise team! This position will report directly to the Environmental Manager.
Location: Starke, Florida
Hours: Full-time or part-time schedule, flexible to candidate needs
Term : 3-month assignment between May-August 2024 _(_ _i.e._ _3-month assignment between May-August)_
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
+ Work with staff to conduct environmental field sampling of wastewater, stormwater, and drinking water.Interpret data of field environmental sample results
+ Assist with data entry and environmental metrics.Perform weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance inspections and audits
+ Assist with tasks for environmental compliance with Federal, State, and Local rules/regulations
+ Complete required Environmental, Health and Safety training for the duties and hazards of the position
T he following is _required_ for this role :
+ Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a Junior or above at time of assignment
+ Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Environmental Science or Engineering, Biology,or similar fields
+ Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
The following is _preferred_ for this role :
+ 3.0 GPA or above
+ Technical Experience Preferred
+ Participation in relevant activities, organizations, and projects beyond the classroom
