Switching from textbooks to digital transformation

Opportunity for someone strong in integration to learn RPA/Process Automation



Immediate focus:

Overseeing entire Solution Architecture Team- providing guidance to Solution Architects/working in the weeds/reviewing the solution architecture

Enterprise Architect overseeing the Enterprise-wide Digital Transformation

50/50 hands on (working with individual solution) 10 work streams, 10 diff solutions arch at minimum they'll work with

Dig into solutions, technically sounds, see if there's any overlap with other work streams then connect all the streams to make sure the process is sound



High Level Enterprise architect: solutions architect within the work stream

Main role responsibility is to meet with train and coach

Solution reviews

To meet with/train/coach the solutions architects- review their architecture- doesnt need to be deep into one space- just a strong enterprise architect- someone that has led digital transformations from an architecture perspective

Someone who has worked as an Enterprise Architect on an enterprise-wide digital transformation- needs someone who has run an enterprise architecture practice for an organization

Someone who can review all of the solution architecture

Well balanced breath of knowledge

Someone who has lead digital transformation from an architecture perspective

Best and easiest way to not impact the project

Business Engagement:

Purpose: The EAs should participate in any Product Owner or COE meetings to understand business goals, priorities, and problems. This allows visibility and alignment with our target state architecture. Also, ensures business strategy uses proper technology to achieve corporate goals. This will reduce our risk at the early stages of the project.



Enterprise Architect Role and Responsibility:

Responsible for Architecture actions and decisions across workstreams

Identify Integration patterns best practices.

Architecture Best Practices

Escalation process related to architecture decisions between workstreams.

Technology stack guidance

Security, technology, information and enterprise architect's collaboration

Data and information management across workstreams

Measure Project Architectures health

Working with the Solution Architects across each workstream to ensure

Every tool/SaaS products fit and are aligned with the target architecture.

Remove the gap between what was planned and what is delivered.

Remove redundancy and duplicated efforts.

Review Design and assess Solution Architects:

Review design and solutions provided by the solution architect.

Remove blocking and showstoppers.

Remove silos between architects on the architecture decision been taken and impacting their workstreams.



Training

Provide training to the senior developers and joiner architects to improve their architecture skills (for those who are planning to wear the hat of SA )

Works with Delivery leads, Product Owners, Application Owners, Program Managers and Solution Architects



Responsibilities continued:

Produce the NextGen Target State Architecture

Roadmap (sequencing) for NextGen and share it with all architects so their solution and prioritization are aligned.

Architecture guidance and governance processes for NextGen

Technology Assessment framework

Solution Engagement model

Solution Artifact

Guidance or processes that are required to help improve efficiency around moving faster in the solution domain

Will run the working sessions and solution reviews.

Will be responsible for understanding what needs to be presented at ARB

Will be responsible for training all Solution Architects
