The Epic Integration Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing Epic integration projects within scope, timeline and budget. The role requires collaboration with technical teams, operational stakeholders, local hospital leadership and external business partners. The role is 100% remote with travel to Select Medical hospitals as required. The Epic Integration Project Manager will provide project oversight through the following:
Responsibilities:- Ability to develop and execute project plans.
- Ability to understand high-level requirements and effectively coordinate resources.
- Coordinate day-to-day operational aspects of projects.
- Ensure resource availability and allocation.
- Plan and communicate with Operations, IT Leadership, vendors and other key stakeholders regarding integration status, milestones, and issue resolution.
- Facilitate regular status meetings with project teams and stakeholders.
- Manage integration projects on-site as necessary.
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of relevant IT systems, applicable workflows, and project-specific processes.
- Act as liaison between IT systems knowledge and clinical SMEs, translating operational/clinical needs into actionable documents and processes.
- Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.
- Effectively manage change.
- Create and maintain knowledge management repository to encourage and facilitate consistency across integration projects
- Keep track of lessons learned and share those lessons with team members.
- Effectively apply Select’s project standards.
- Actively pursue professional development to increase and maintain necessary and applicable skills.
Required:
- BS or BA or equivalent education and experience
- In-depth understanding of the software development life cycle for implementing Enterprise-level systems – 7 years
- Experience with Epic EMR or other EMR systems highly desired.
- Very strong facilitation and planning skills – 5 years
- Strong technical writing and presentation skills – 5 years
- Superior teamwork and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills commensurate with a professional working environment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business priorities
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Demonstrated active listening skills
- Skilled in gaining consensus with outside business partners in establishing project schedules and specifics around deliverables
- Demonstrated passion for delivering exemplary customer service
- Large scale multi-site IS operations experience
- Willingness to travel
Preferred:
- Knowledge of Microsoft productivity applications
- Knowledge of browser-based technology
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly preferred
- Experience with project management of laboratory and radiology interface projects
