Overview:
The Equipment Clerk is responsible for providing direct support to the Equipment Coordinator and Equipment Manager. They will also assist in carrying out daily office needs and manage general administrative activities in order to facilitate efficient operation of their division.
Responsibilities:
The following are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all-inclusive for this position.
- Track locations of and bill all company owned equipment
- Manage telematics/GPS system on all company owned equipment
- Maintain documentation and electronic files
- Run reports and assist in coding/tracking cost
- Create purchase orders and order materials/supplies
- Assist with payroll, data entry, and other clerical duties as needed
Physical:
- Occasionally required to lift up to 25 pounds
- Regularly required to talk or hear
- Frequently required to walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms
- Subject to repetitive use of hands/arms
- Occasionally required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, use hands and fingers to handle and feel
- Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus
- Will need to perform sedentary to heavy work
- Will operate office equipment of all types
- Must be able to walk on uneven surfaces, muddy conditions, loose rock, loose/soft sand, etc.
- Ability to drive cars/trucks as needed
Mental:
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively with others
- Talking and reading & writing comprehension is necessary for giving and receiving directions to perform work and/or safety policy
- Ability to use math/complete calculations
- Must be able to concentrate amid distractions and remember details
- Ability to use computer, keyboard, telephone and other office devices
Other:
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Accounts payable/billing, payroll, and purchase order experience preferred
- Prior administrative or office experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
