Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic – Construction Industry

Job Overview: We are looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have experience maintaining and repairing a wide variety of heavy equipment used on construction sites. Pay is competitive and based on experience, with rates up to $50 per hour.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repair on construction equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, loaders, and cranes.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Inspect equipment to identify potential problems and prevent breakdowns.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
• Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently, adhering to company and safety standards.
• Work with the team to ensure equipment is ready for use on job sites in a timely manner.
• Order parts and supplies as needed and ensure equipment is stocked with necessary tools and materials.
• Assist in troubleshooting and solving mechanical problems in the field.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, preferably in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on heavy equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret repair manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Welding and fabrication experience a plus.
