Knowledge and Skills
- Demonstrated ability to complete / assist with tooling changes on assigned lines.
- Basic Microsoft (Outlook, Excel, Word) and computer experience preferred.
- Able to read and understand procedures.
- Must be able to perform visual inspections with and without the aid of magnification tools.
Work Environment
- This job operates in a clean room environment.
- Use solvents, glue, or solder.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit or stand for the duration of the shift.
- Employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
- Must be able to repetitively move and lift objects of up to 20 lbs.
- Position does not require travel.
Responsibilities:
Position Summary
- The Equipment Operator II is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of moderately complex automated assembly machines.
- This individual will ensure the continued operation of assembly machines through interpretation of and appropriate response to machine faults and will perform moderately complex, repetitive tasks associated with machine operation, maintaining a moderate level of equipment attentiveness.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- All essential duties and responsibilities of Equipment Operator I, in addition to those outlined below.
- Adjust parameters (within allowable limits) to ensure good quality and optimal machine efficiency.
- Interpret machine faults and determine root cause. Rectify the issue (within the validated condition of the equipment) such that fault no longer occurs.
- Perform minor machine adjustments, changeovers, and setups without maintenance intervention. Complete basic Preventive Maintenance (PM) and repair tasks, under direction of Technician.
- Operate manufacturing lines, coordinating with multiple team members to ensure required tasks are completed. Demonstrate flexibility to successfully run multiple or more complex machines to meet line standards.
- Proactively work with supervisor/coordinator to schedule WO/PM work. Close out WO/PM tasks within appropriate CMMS system.
- Participate in team meetings or problem-solving improvements as requested.
- Mentor and train other team members as required.
- Process Oracle Transactions (Backflushing) as required.
- Support overtime activities as required.
