The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Northern Region Highways and Aviation is looking for an Equipment Operator Journey 2 to help us Keep Alaska Moving!

What you will be doing:

As part of a maintenance crew, this position performs various tasks associated with the seasonal maintenance of State highways and airports within the Western District. The work includes, but is not limited to, operating, and servicing heavy and light duty equipment, snow and ice control, asphalt patching, maintenance of all vegetation, signs, barricades, fences, bridges, culverts, drainage structures, bike paths and road surfaces within the State of Alaska Right-of-Way, as well as performing traffic control duties including flagging.

The working environment you can expect:

This position is located in Nome, Alaska. As part of the Nome Maintenance & Operations team, the selected candidate will perform numerous seasonal highway maintenance and operations tasks within the Western District boundaries.
