The Equipment Sales Representative is responsible for meeting the needs of customers by matching the right equipment for the customer’s job.
Job duties include:
- Call on and travel to companies and businesses to sell industrial equipment, as well as provide recommendations for upgrades or replacements on customer’s existing equipment.
- Provide competitive information for bids, pricing and potential bundling arrangements for units and parts.
- Perform product demonstrations, installations and application support.
- Take orders and deliver products, including providing consistent, effective communication with the customer on delivery schedules, repair estimates, etc.
- Continually improve product knowledge and sales techniques.
- Identify and communicate solutions for customer service opportunities in the dealership’s area of responsibility.
- Manage and develop new customers, while maintaining existing sales.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments.
- Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with coworkers, with a strong commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
