Summary:
The Equipment Technician will be responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance to the Motor Block Breaking Operation. This position will work closely with operations, maintenance, environmental, or some combination of all.
Essential Job Functions:
- Knowledgeable of the proper inspection, removal, installation, and alignment, and lubrication of bearings, gears, belts, conveyors, and chains.
- A general understanding of the following: electrical systems, hydraulic systems, various cylinders, valves, accumulators, and pumps.
- Knowledgeable in basic hand tools and proper use.
- Must be willing and able to work with heavy equipment when needed.
- Work autonomously or act as an effective team member, exhibiting good interpersonal skills.
- Able to communicate effectively to team members as well as non-maintenance personnel.
- Learn and work in accordance with company procedures and policies, as well as safety and environmental rules and guidelines.
- Be responsible for the start up and shutdown of Block Breaker equipment
- Be innovative in production procedures and use of equipment
- Monitor the quality of the products produced and shipped
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Able to work in a drug-free workplace.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year maintenance experience is preferred.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems.
- Industrial mill, shredder, or mining experience preferred.
- Water Treatment Plant experience is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Problem-solving skills required.
- Ability to weld required.
