We our seeking an Equity Research Associate to support our Senior Analyst in the Consumer sector, specifically in Footwear and Apparel.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide fundamental analysis of companies in the Consumer sector
- Build and maintain detailed company financial models, collect and analyze industry data and develop sector databases
- Assist with the timely publication of research notes and reports
- Assist with existing coverage and contribute to new company initiations
- Assist with special ad-hoc projects, presentations and reports as assigned
- Stay informed of current market, company and industry news
- Communicate with internal sales force, institutional clients and company management teams
- Perform other tasks as required and assigned

Required Experience:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university, preferably with a Business/Finance or other quantitative focus
- 1-3 years Equity Research experience
- Experience in the Consumer sector helpful but not necessary
- Position will require obtaining the Series SIE, 86 and 87 certifications
- Excellent accounting and financial skills; keen understanding of valuation techniques
- Critical thinking and strong analytical ability
- Excellent writing and communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to perform under pressure, meet time sensitive deadlines, prioritize and multi-task
- Self-starter with ability to work independently
- Ideal candidate will have a passion for the market

Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Decisions regarding compensation are determined on a case-by-case basis and are dependent on a variety of factors including but not limited to location; skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current hiring range is $80,000-100,000.
