ER Trauma Registrar - Cabell Huntington Hospital/St. Mary

Rivers Health is seeking a full-time Trauma Program Registrar in the Emergency Room. JOB SUMMARY: The Trauma Program Registrar is a full-time employee that is responsible for the data entry of the trauma patient into the trauma registry. The Trauma Program Registrar reports directly to the Trauma program manager. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The following is a summary of the major essential functions of this job. The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned below; and specific functions may change from time to time. * Assumes the responsibility of identifying patients that meet the trauma guidelines to be entered into the trauma registry. * Completes the trauma patient's abstract information * Quality data entry into the trauma registry. * Assist with emergency department staff education. EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING: Completion of 4-hour trauma registry continuing education per year. WORK EXPERIENCE: Three years (3) years’ experience in emergency care.
