**Job Title:** Registered Nurse **Job Specialty:** Emergency Room Nurse **Job Duration:** Not specified **Shift:** Day - 3x12 - 7am - 7pm, 36 Hours **Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified **Experience:** Minimum of 2 years required; Preferred 1 year in a healthcare setting as a Registered Nurse **License:** Licensed in good standing as a Registered Professional Nurse in the state **Certifications:** Current Basic Life Support (BLS) **Must-Have:** Completion of a program of education in nursing from an NLN-approved institution **Job Description:** - Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. - Direct and coordinate nursing care based on nursing practice standards. - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide quality, cost-effective, and efficient care for the best possible patient outcome. - Serve as a resource person when needed. - Apply age-specific considerations and cultural diversity in patient care. - Responsible for the care of all patients from birth to elderly. - Maintain competencies and practice nursing as described in the state's regulations for Registered Nursing. - Utilize cognitive and technical knowledge to manage care across the continuum. - Flexible with work schedule and capable of independent actions within prescribed limits. - Administer treatments, medications, and interpret diagnostic tests. - Provide patient, family, and significant other education. - Collaborate with other professionals, utilizing the nursing process. - Proficient in medical terminology, basic nursing skills, and basic EKG skills. - Read, analyze, and interpret general professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. - Document actions involved in care delivery and follow guidelines and procedures. - Present information effectively and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and the public. - Supervise unit secretaries and patient care technicians in collaboration with the Charge Nurse. **Benefits Include:** - Generous PTO beginning at 4.5 weeks - Eleven paid holidays - Comprehensive healthcare coverage - Life and disability insurance - Flexible Spending Account - Retirement plans - Employee Wellness Center - Sign-On Bonus with a three-year agreement Please note that all applicants are required to show proof of completed COVID vaccinations.
