Summary
The ERP Analyst provides comprehensive SAP and PowerPlan support, including functional, business, and technical assistance to configure, implement, maintain, and upgrade all PowerPlan modules and SAP CO and FI modules. This role is a strategic partner and business liaison in technology decisions, offering ongoing system support and developing integrated IT and business solutions.
What You'll Do
+ Business Support and Consulting:
+ Define and drive the adoption of standard processes in PowerPlan and SAP CO and FI within Finance and Accounting.
+ Analyze complex, end-to-end business processes across all PowerPlan and SAP CO and FI modules.
+ Understand the current and future business environment to anticipate and meet business needs using an integrated approach.
+ Propose and influence IT solutions to complex business problems, negotiating requirements and deliverables across multiple stakeholders.
+ Evaluate system customizations to help partners understand the risks and costs, advocating for standard functionalities to reduce future implementation and upgrade costs.
+ Functional Analysis:
+ Identify opportunities to automate and optimize PowerPlan, SAP CO and FI.
+ Map business requirements to current ECC implementation and future SAP S4 capabilities.
+ Review design and technical specifications for alignment with business solutions.
+ Perform system configuration and conduct quality reviews and testing activities.
What It Takes To Succeed
SAP:
+ Familiarity with SAP tables and structure.
+ Experience with SAP GUI and documenting integrations.
+ Proficiency in SAP CO and FI.
+ Experience with Hana and S4HANA ERP implementation and upgrades.
+ Understanding of SAP settlement processes and integration impacts with PowerPlan.
PowerPlan and Asset Accounting:
+ Knowledge of PowerPlan modules including Projects, Assets, Property Tax, Charge Repository, and Depreciation.
+ Understanding of asset accounting concepts, mass property accounting, group depreciation, asset retirement methods, and ARO accounting.
+ Familiarity with GAAP vs. FERC accounting concepts and the FERC system of accounts.
+ Knowledge of AFUDC/CPI/capitalized interest, rate cases, and depreciation studies.
Non-Technical Skills:
+ Ability to interact with both technical and non-technical team members to resolve issues.
+ Effective written and spoken communication with all levels of individual contributors and leadership.
+ Project management experience with small to medium projects.
+ Intermediate skills using business application tools such as PowerBI, MS Excel, MS Word, etc.
Experience
Promotion to Level 2 requires a minimum of two years of experience at Level 1; demonstrated capability to perform advanced and more difficult work as determined by the supervisor.
Promotion to Senior Level requires a minimum of three-years of experience at Level 2; is fully competent in all aspects of functional area of assignment and as such would be recognized as a specialist in area of assignment and may have periodic or occasional lead responsibilities.
Education
Completion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution that prepares the employee for the assignment.
Hybrid Workplace
SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
