NextGen ERP is a large, complex multi-year program designed to transform the way the electric utility operates. This critical strategic program leverages advanced technology innovations, such as machine learning, business process intelligence capabilities to enable an enterprise-wide future-focused business transformation. This transformation builds the foundation which will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions, and create cleaner air for everyone.
As an IT Delivery, Project Manager , you’ll be responsible for handling the EAM Work Management portfolio with direct responsibility for scope, schedule, budget, quality, and business outcomes. You will focus on managing vendors, contracts, risks/issues, team collaborators and customers to ensure successful program execution. You will also lead cross-functional teams (Cybersecurity, Finance, IT Architecture, IT Grid Services, IT Operations, Supply Management, OU partners) and activities related to the development of plans, schedules, and execution of assigned projects. Additionally, you will be instrumental in supporting SCE’s digital transformation by employing and advocating for agile techniques throughout the project lifecycle.

+ Provide program oversight by leading solution analysis, design, and implementation within program scope, schedule, and budget to ensure adherence to design principles and value targets defined in the NextGen program.
+ Facilitate meetings with System Integrators on regular basis to discuss status, open issues, discuss opportunity for improvisation on deliverables, discuss risk/mitigation.
+ Facilitate monthly alignment meeting with IT and OU partners to communicate program updates and request assistance to resolve difficult issues.
+ Hold vendors accountable by tracking deliverables to completion and adhering to their schedule and quality commitments as specified in their contracts.
+ Identify, measure, and mitigate risks within EAM Work management and raise problem areas to other Solution Towers.
+ Maintain key project information (deliverables, risks, issues, decisions, action items) in the NextGen program management repository.
+ A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
The essentials
+ Seven (7) or more years of IT project management experience (scope, schedule, and budget).
+ Five (5) or more years of experience leading implementation of projects in waterfall and agile delivery.
+ Three (3) or more years of experience facilitating workshops with various functional teams, end user customers, and collaborators to translate complex business needs and requirements into appropriate technology solutions (preferably within an enterprise SAP ERP solution footprint covering SAP and non-SAP solutions).
+ Experience and knowledge of SAP/ERP applications/modules in the EAM T&D business processes, and operating models, spanning one or more business process domains.
+ Experience communicating via both, written and oral communications, with senior executive management.
The preferred
+ Five (5) or more years of experience serving as a Project Manager in very complex enterprise application environments; this includes project related experience with upgrade or implementation projects.
+ Five (5) or more years of experience managing suppliers, service contracts, project metrics, and contracts to meet project objectives.
+ Experience involving the execution of at least 1 or more full lifecycle implementations of SAP ERP or S/4 HANA ERP implementation.
+ Associate’s degree or higher in Business, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or relevant technical major.
+ PMP Certification and/ or Scrum Master Certification

+ This position’s work mode is hybrid . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
