Custom engineered to order; the products serve a broad range of markets from food processing to petrochemical applications. Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the ERP Technical Analyst will be responsible for evaluating and implementing new technologies, designing, and developing new processes, leading developers, and supporting existing systems. Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Participates in the recruitment, hiring, and training of Developers.
- Technical Lead for team members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties may be assigned.
- Research and present new technologies to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Develop and enforce best practices and programming standards. Define requirements for implementation of enhancements of new application.
- Work with users to understand requirements and develop a design.
- Develop work plans for design, construction, and implementation phases of application development projects.
- Write specifications based on design to be passed on to a programmer/analyst or programmer for application enhancements.
- Conduct unit, system, and user testing plans.
- Support IBMi Power 9 and interfaced applications to insure efficient, uninterrupted operation of the systems.
- Oversee application troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Analyze and debug daily production problems and support other users.
- User training.
- Conversion and implementation.
- IBMi Query or SQL design/debugging support.
- Maintain technical skills by attending annual seminars and reading literature associated with job functions.
- Identifies and shares training opportunities for staff to build and improve skills.
- Assists in the organization of departmental management structure and teams for optimal, efficient operations.
- Work off-hours to install software and troubleshoot issues.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant computer science field required.
- 10 years: Strong proficiency in writing and testing RPG code.
- Infor XA - Enterprise Integrator, required

- Must be able to stand, bend, crawl, stretch, lay, and squat in order to maintain equipment.
Work Environment:
This position must perform tasks that involve mainly office exposure, sitting behind a desk performing tasks on a computer. Most of their time, the employee will spend time in the office with low to moderate exposure to noise, heat, and cold environment, other physical requirements include walking, bending, hand dexterity, speaking, seeing, and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds. Steel toe shoes, earplugs and safety glasses are always required while on the production floor.
