What You’ll Do:
- Be the go-to expert for special education services, guiding students, teachers, and families toward success.
- Customize teaching methods to meet each student’s unique needs and learning styles. Every day is a chance to innovate!
- Work hand-in-hand with teachers and administrators to ensure special education is seamlessly integrated with the school’s curriculum.
- Build strong relationships with parents and guardians, helping them navigate their child’s educational journey with confidence.
- Play a key role in selecting cutting-edge curriculum tools and resources designed to enhance the educational experience for special education students.
- Create and implement individualized educational plans that set clear, measurable goals for student success, all while keeping their academic, physical, and social growth top of mind.
- Guide teachers and teacher assistants, providing the tools and strategies they need to meet program requirements and foster an inclusive learning environment.
- Plan and manage the special education program’s budget to ensure students and staff have the resources they need.
- Serve as a role model, instilling positive values and character development in your students.
- Every student’s growth is a victory. Track and report their progress, and be ready to celebrate the wins, big or small!
Requirements:
- A dynamic educator with a **Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Special Education.
- State certified and endorsed in Special Education.
- You have 3-5 years of successful experience teaching in a special education setting.
- You’re passionate about creating individualized learning experiences that help students meet and exceed their goals.
- You’re a strong communicator, collaborator, and advocate for both students and families.
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment where every day presents a new challenge and opportunity.
- You’re ready to be a mentor, leader, and key figure in driving special education success within our school.
