Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Manage a substantial caseload of estate litigation matters, ensuring all cases are handled efficiently and effectively.
2. Create, track, and maintain files for each case, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
3. Monitor calendars and meet all deadlines, ensuring all court dates, meetings, and other important events are properly scheduled and attended.
4. Prepare correspondence, including letters, emails, and other documents, ensuring all communication is clear, concise, and professional.
5. Draft and respond to discovery demands, ensuring all information is accurate and provided in a timely manner.
6. Draft motions and other legal documents, ensuring all paperwork is properly prepared and filed.
7. Collaborate with attorneys and other team members, providing support and assistance as needed.
8. Stay current on all estate litigation laws and regulations, ensuring all work is in compliance with legal standards.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in estate litigation.
2. Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and laws, particularly as they pertain to estate litigation.
3. Proven ability to manage a substantial caseload, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
4. Proficiency in creating, tracking, and maintaining files, with a demonstrated ability to keep information organized and accessible.
5. Proven ability to monitor calendars and meet deadlines, with strong time management skills and a high degree of reliability.
6. Experience in preparing correspondence and drafting legal documents, with strong writing skills and a keen eye for detail.
7. Experience in drafting and responding to discovery demands, with a strong understanding of the discovery process.
8. Ability to work well in a team, with strong collaboration and communication skills.
9. A commitment to staying current on all estate litigation laws and regulations, with a dedication to ongoing learning and professional development.
