Are you passionate about law and have a keen interest in the field of trusts & estates? Do you have experience in drafting wills, trusts, and estate planning? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! We are currently seeking an Estate Adminsitration Paralegal who is ready to take on a challenging yet rewarding role in the legal industry. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with our team of experienced attorneys and clients, providing comprehensive paralegal support. You will be a key player in our team, handling complex estate and trust administration matters and contributing to the success of our firm.
Responsibilities:
As an Estate Paralegal, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Assisting attorneys with the administration of estates and trusts.
2. Drafting and reviewing legal documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives.
3. Conducting legal research and analysis related to estate and trust administration.
4. Coordinating with clients, court personnel, and other parties involved in estate and trust matters.
5. Organizing and maintaining client files and records.
6. Preparing estate and inheritance tax returns.
7. Assisting with probate court filings and proceedings.
8. Providing general administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling meetings and maintaining calendars.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Estate Paralegal position, you must possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a trust and estate paralegal.
2. A comprehensive understanding of estate planning and probate laws.
3. Proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal documents related to estate planning, including wills and trusts.
4. Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and apply complex legal principles.
5. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
6. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
7. Proficiency in using legal research tools and software.
8. A paralegal certification or equivalent is preferred.
