ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Estimation Administrator - Bid Coordinator, your day starts by diving into bid requests, organizing key documents, and coordinating with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors. From reviewing blueprints to ensuring the accuracy of estimates, you're the go-to person for keeping everything on track. You maintain data in our estimating software, communicate with vendors for pricing, and ensure that bid deadlines are met. Throughout the day, you're liaising with clients and making sure every submission complies with regulations, all while helping the estimating team run like a well-oiled machine.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in construction, engineering, or a similar industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and familiarity with estimating software (Bluebeam, Procore, or similar)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to liaise between departments and external contacts
- Excellent time management, multitasking, and organizational skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and document management
- Ability to prioritize tasks and solve issues proactively to meet tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the construction or engineering industry
- Knowledge of construction cost estimation techniques and practices
- Familiarity with the bid process and government contracts
