Job Description: Sales Estimator - Asphalt Paving

Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Sales Estimator to join our asphalt paving company. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both asphalt maintenance and new paving projects. This role involves assessing project requirements, preparing accurate estimates, and effectively communicating with clients to drive sales and ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess project specifications and site conditions for asphalt maintenance and new paving jobs.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, and equipment needs.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and support.
• Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure accurate and feasible estimates.
• Conduct site visits and measurements to gather necessary data for proposals.
• Present estimates and proposals to clients, addressing any questions or concerns.
• Stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and best practices related to asphalt paving.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in estimating for asphalt paving, including both maintenance and new projects.
• Strong knowledge of asphalt materials, application techniques, and equipment.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills for accurate cost estimation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and team members.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Skills:

• Background in sales or business development in the asphalt market
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations related to asphalt paving.
