Responsibilities:
- Estimate creation & setup
- Creates estimate folders.
- Keeps Accubid default job up to date with current labor rates, tax rates, etc.
- Reviews bid opportunities, bid plans and specifications, proposed schedule.
- Performs estimate takeoff.
- Requests material, equipment, and other miscellaneous pricing from various vendors, verifies quotes meet owner expectations.
- Reviews and finalizes estimate with management.
- Creates estimate scope of work.
- Submits estimate to customer.
- Performs estimate handoff to project management upon award.
- Assists Project Manager and owner with Value Engineering ideas and pricing.
- Responsible for maintaining organized document flow within assigned estimates.
- Assists Business Development and Project Management with customer / jobsite visits as necessary.
Required Experience:
- 1+ years of estimating commercial and / or industrial electrical projects.
- Seeking prior estimating experience with bids ranging from $250K - $20M.
- Experience with Trimble Accubid electrical estimating software or other similar products.
- Principles and practices of estimating, including planning, scheduling, organizing, and coordinating.
- Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws related to the assigned project area.
- Safe working practices, codes, and regulations applicable to the assigned project area.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
