Estimator - Commercial
Skills and Experience:
This position will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of commercial construction project proposals and bids. Identify and compute labor, material, and time costs by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and other bid documents.
Requirements:
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
o Strong prioritization and organizational skills; detail-oriented
o Strong working knowledge of estimating software like Timberline, OST and MC2
o Working knowledge of programs such as Primavera (P6), Bluebeam, Synchro, Excel, and Word
o Well-rounded base of knowledge in construction disciplines
o 1-5 years of previous commercial construction experience with public, private or federal projects is required
o B.S. Degree – Construction Management or Engineering
Essential Job Duties:
o Visit project and pre-bid meetings to understand site conditions/scope.
o Review plans and specifications.
o Provide accurate take-off.
o Work with estimating team to build the estimate and pricing.
o Develop a preliminary schedule.
