- Manually calculate various data quantity take-offs for data entry into a computer estimating system.
- Identify qualified suppliers/subcontractors and solicit quotes.
- Developing and organizing bid package estimate documents for service repairs and small service work projects.
- Maintain files of working documents for back-up to estimating figures.
- Distribute bidding documents to vendors for pricing as needed.
- Establish, develop, and maintain positive customer relationships. This will include calling on new customers.
- Ordering and maintaining a delivery schedule for project material.
- Provide field support to the crews doing the work you’ve estimated.
Qualifications and Skills:
Who We are:- At least 5-year experience at the Journeyman Electrician level. Experience as a lead service technician, foreman, or electrical construction superintendent is a plus.
- Ability to calculate mathematical extensions, read, and understand architectural construction documents.
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees- both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others.
- High level of initiative and time management
- Preferred qualification: Experience working in the electrical trade or commercial construction experience.
